Clevedon was named in the 13th century by the 'de Clevedon' family, who built Clevedon Court.

The modern day town, which retains many historical features, is spread out over two main levels. Lower Clevedon, where The Triangle is centrally placed...and Upper Clevedon, where Hill Road is perhaps the main focus. The sea front actually manages to link these area together.

The town offers long-striding walks beside river banks, strolls around the hills and along the sea front, rambles through neighbouring woodland and cycle rides along the sea wall and to visit nearby Yatton, Portishead and Kingston Seymour.
